Fall is right around the corner, and that likely means you have more events to plan. Back-to-school bashes, Fall Festivals, and Thanksgiving outreaches are just a few examples. Thankfully, you can use your custom app to help you prepare for each upcoming event. Here’s how to get started:

1) Create an app screen

You need a location for people to access all the information about an event.  That’s likely a dedicated page on the church website.  You can easily replicate that page in your mobile app with a custom app screen.

2) Enable volunteer signups

With every event comes the need for volunteers to help make it happen.  Make it easy for people to sign up to serve by creating a custom form within your mobile app.  Point people to this form in push notifications where you ask for volunteers, on the event’s app screen, and in other communications about the event.

3) Create a registration form

Before you start announcing the event during services, create a registration form within your custom app.  Another option is to include the URL to your online registration form within the event list information or event app screen.  Include information on how to access that form when you announce the event.

4) Create sharable graphics

Create graphics your congregation can share on various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).  This spreads the word about the event and gives people an easy way to invite their friends.  You can include these graphics in the app screen or within the Events List.

By including these simple steps in your event planning process, you’ll be able to spread the word about your event quickly so people can sign up and enjoy.
