During this season, it’s never been more important to stay connected with your community. Moving from in-person gatherings to creating digital connection points gives your community the opportunity to have church at home during these times—keeping them engaged and in the loop on Sundays and throughout the week. Here are 4 ways to create an engaging church at home experience:

1. Keep Your App & Website Up-to-Date

An effective and simple way to inform your community is the addition of a dedicated tab in your app and a page on your website about how your church is staying connected in light of COVID-19. Additionally, a banner or pop-up on your homepage will make this information even more accessible to visitors.

2. Add a Resource Section

An organized resources section on your app or website’s dedicated page provides a simple go-to place for your community to find ways they can participate regardless of their location. Here are a few resources to consider:

  • A worship playlist so your community can worship on Sunday and throughout the week
  • A Bible reading plan to learn and read the word of God together
  • A digital giving option so your community can continue to faithfully give regardless of their location

3. Live Stream Your Services & Create a Sermon Library

Live streaming is a great way to have church services at home when forgoing in-person gatherings. It allows your community to engage and worship together in real time. An addition of a “Watch Online” section to your dedicated tab or webpage creates a simple place to inform your community of when live stream services occur and how to join.

For those who missed a weekend live streamed service or who want to stay connected to gospel-centered content, a sermon library is a great way to make positive content accessible for your community. Simply upload your media to the Subsplash Dashboard, and watch as it simultaneously publishes to your mobile app and website with just one click.

4. Create Forms for Further Connection

Building and cultivating meaningful relationships shouldn’t stop because church services and events have shifted to a digital space. Having a way for your community to contact you is important. Contact forms for prayer requests, virtual small group sign-ups, and more create an easy way to keep the connection alive and check in on one another.
